[2024-2025] UP Visayas Benchmarks with Benilde on Holistic and Inclusive Student Services

De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) recently welcomed delegates from the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) for a benchmarking visit aimed at deepening their understanding of Benilde’s holistic and inclusive student services framework.

The engagement provided an avenue for meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing, with Benilde showcasing its multi-faceted approach to student support and development. Participating offices included the Benilde Well-Being Center, Center for Social Action, Center for Inclusive Education, Center for Admissions and Scholarships, Center for Partnerships for Advancement, and the Center for Student Life.

Through a series of presentations and discussions, the UPV team gained insights into Benilde’s integrated model that combines academic excellence, well-being, inclusion, and community engagement to ensure every student’s success and sense of belonging. The exchange also highlighted how Benilde’s programs and support systems are strategically designed to nurture both personal growth and social responsibility among its learners.

The visit served not only as a learning opportunity but also as a springboard for future collaboration between Benilde and UP Visayas in areas such as student development programs, inclusive education initiatives, and shared research on student welfare.

By opening its doors to academic peers, Benilde continues to uphold its Lasallian mission of sharing best practices, fostering innovation, and championing inclusive education—inspiring institutions across the country to advance student-centered learning environments that empower every learner to thrive.
