De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and Nikon Philippines are setting the stage for an exciting collaboration aimed at enhancing the learning experience of students in photography and film programs. Representatives from both institutions met on April 30, 2025, to discuss potential initiatives that would bring industry expertise and professional opportunities directly into the Benildean classroom.
The exploratory meeting centered on key areas of partnership, including student internship programs, equipment loans of professional-grade Nikon cameras and gear, and the organization of a lecture series featuring industry experts. These initiatives are envisioned to deepen students’ technical proficiency while exposing them to real-world creative workflows and professional standards.
In addition to hands-on learning, Nikon Philippines expressed strong interest in sponsoring photography and film events that would allow Benildean creatives to showcase their talents to a wider audience. The company also committed to providing curriculum feedback and industry visits, ensuring that Benilde’s programs remain aligned with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Both parties agreed to formalize the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in the coming weeks, with the goal of launching the first joint initiative by the third term of Academic Year 2024–2025.
