May 9, 2024 — Representatives from Panpacific University visited De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (Benilde) to gain insights into some of the College’s pioneering programs, namely Entrepreneurship (ETEEAP), Multimedia Arts, and Deaf Studies.
The delegation was welcomed by Dean Sharon Arriola, OIC Dean Bea Francisco, and Mr. Melbourne Piccio, who presented their respective programs and shared Benilde’s best practices in inclusive and industry-driven education. The visit also included a guided tour of the Multimedia Arts facilities, giving guests a first-hand look at the College’s creative and technology-integrated learning spaces.
Beyond benchmarking, both institutions explored potential areas for academic collaboration, including the mobility of programs. One of the key points of discussion was the possibility of offering Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies’ Filipino Sign Language Learning Program at Panpacific University—an initiative that would promote accessibility and cultural understanding.
The visit concluded with plans to arrange a separate benchmarking activity focusing on Benilde’s Hospitality and Culinary Management programs, underscoring the growing partnership and shared commitment to educational excellence between the two institutions.
