[2023-2024] Benilde and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta Forge New Academic Partnership

De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) continues to strengthen its international network through an exploratory meeting with Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) held on June 11, 2024. The session brought together representatives from Benilde’s School of Diplomacy and Governance (SDG), School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT), and the Center for External Linkages (CEL) to explore opportunities for academic and cultural collaboration.

The dialogue centered on the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions—an agreement that will serve as the foundation for future joint initiatives. Both parties also expressed their intention to formalize specific projects through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) following the MOU signing.

In anticipation of UPNVJ’s official visit to the Philippines on June 27, 2024, the meeting also outlined several exciting activities. During their visit, professors from UPNVJ will engage directly with Benildean students through talks focused on topics such as diplomacy, governance, business, and management—fostering intercultural learning and intellectual exchange between Indonesian and Filipino scholars.

The visit will culminate in a ceremonial MOU signing at DLS-CSB, symbolizing a shared commitment to internationalization, academic cooperation, and sustainable global engagement.

This partnership with UPNVJ underscores Benilde’s dedication to nurturing globally competent learners and educators, expanding its reach across Southeast Asia, and cultivating a dynamic academic community that values dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.
