Representatives from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) recently visited De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde to explore potential collaborations aimed at enriching academic and global learning experiences for students.
The meeting brought together key leaders from both institutions, including Dean and Vice Dean of SUSS’ Student Success, along with their Global Linkages Officers. Representing Benilde were Vice Chancellor Angelo Lacson, Dean Gary Ador Dionisio, Dean Cora Reyes, Associate Dean Cathy Mojado, Mr. Sherlo Reyes, and Ms. Paula Roxas from the Center for External Linkages (CEL).
During the discussions, both parties identified several areas of collaboration, including student internship deployment, student exchange programs, hackathons, and program articulation. These initiatives aim to promote cross-cultural learning, enhance student engagement, and strengthen academic networks between Singapore and the Philippines.
The two institutions agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formally commence the partnership. As part of the collaboration, SUSS extended a warm invitation for Benildean associates and students to visit their campus in Singapore and attend the launching of the SUSS Student Success Office in Manila this coming September.
Once operational, the SUSS Student Success Office in Manila will play a vital role in implementing student mobility initiatives and fostering closer cooperation between the two universities — marking an exciting new chapter in international academic collaboration.
