De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) has taken another major step toward global academic collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EduConnect USA on August 14, 2024, held at Vatel Restaurant, Manila.
The partnership aims to create a bridge between Benilde and higher education institutions across the United States, enabling a broad range of academic, research, and experiential learning exchanges. The MOU was formally signed by Benilde President Br. Edmundo “Dodo” Fernandez FSC, Chancellor Benhur Ong, and EduConnect USA President Rodrigue Colaianni, with Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson serving as witness.
Under this agreement, both institutions committed to working together in the following areas:
- Student, faculty, and staff mobility between DLS-CSB and partner U.S. universities.
- Collaborative research and joint project development with potential support from external funding agencies.
- Exchange of academic, scientific, and informational materials relevant to mutual interests.
- Co-organization of seminars, conferences, and academic meetings to promote international dialogue and innovation.
- Development of experiential education programs abroad, including short-term summer programs, field studies, internships, and practicums.
- Exploration of other forms of academic cooperation mutually beneficial to both parties.
This strategic partnership reflects Benilde’s unwavering commitment to internationalization and global learning, offering its students and faculty a wider platform to engage in diverse educational experiences. By collaborating with EduConnect USA, Benilde continues to open doors for academic mobility, cultural exchange, and interdisciplinary research, solidifying its role as a globally connected Lasallian institution.
